‘Waves’ A Poem for my teenage daughter.

Loving a child becomes a part of your breath, your soul. Breathing that love in and out every day for all of your life. I watched the water drain round and round and gone beneath my feet. I was tired, so I went to bed with my hair wet, fresh, dry towel on my pillow. In my heart, you were there, coming home late into my room. And you bent and kissed me on the cheek

That was amazingly beautiful. Literally beautiful. And I'm crying because I. I loved it. It made me think of my daughter. And God bless you. It was beautiful

Lady fa, thank you so much. That was such a sweet response. I mean, ultimately, that's what we want to do with our art and our poetry and our writing is to provoke or translate our emotion to someone else who might feel the same thing we do. So I really loved your response, and I'm glad it was heartfelt to you. So I appreciate you, girl. And I know you're a good mama. I can tell

It. Thank you. Thank you so much for sharing the poem. That is a very amazing poem. And it's a reality of every parent that we have to go through to watch them grow in that teenage stage, which is very spicy but is also beautiful. And it's just a journey of a mother that you got to deal with all those different phases of their life and you love them. You love them. You love everything about your children

And just continue to validate that and continue to show that no matter when she was angry or pushing me away, it was like, just know I love you. I'm here for you anytime. And she knows that now, and she's a mom now, so it goes full circle. So thank you for understanding what I was conveying in that poem. And I think maybe only mothers really do would be able to. Mothers who really love their children
