It Mother's Day. It's ever so complicated for so many. My thoughts today go back, of course, to my late mom, who died very tragically in a hotel fire on new year's Eve of 1987. When I was growing up, she always said mothers day was a hallmark holiday day, and that was mainly because she had lost her mother, my grandmother, tragically when she fell down a flight of stairs and suffered a stroke at the age of 52

Yeah, I mean, you bring up a really good point, which is like, these holidays have this inevitable trouble. I mean, it's a general day, but on an individual level, it can be really complicated and beautiful and sad and a bunch of things and yeah

So. Hi, Susan. This is manisha. And thank you so much for this post. And this really means a lot that you talked about her mother and the tragic in her life and how she died. I really understand the full on condolence with that. And I appreciate that your mom was, like, very good, and no matter how a mom is, but mom is mom, and that's it
