What advice do you have for younger people?

article image placeholderUploaded by @ReySkywalker
I noticed that there are a lot of older people on here, so I was wondering if you guys have any advice for your younger self or to share with younger people in general. Also, if you have any wisdom or life tips you wish to share, that would be wonderful. It

This question always makes me incredibly uncomfortable for a variety of reasons, but I won't. I won't get into that. Instead, before swell started doing prompts the way that they do them now, with hashtags and titles inserted and so on, they did prompts a little differently. If you want to find swells that talk about this, type in younger self in the search box and you'll see a bunch of swells pop up with those words in the title

Feedback is The breakfast of Chanpions.

So I tend to look for people and groups where I'm getting that feedback about the things that I'm doing that aren't working so that I can work on those. Right. So that's. Feedback is the breakfast of champion. You want to live in a feedback culture where you're getting feedback because that feedback will help you to make better decisions. And it's never too early to get financial literacy. That is key

Hello. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I agree with that. Don't let people's expectations of what you should do rule over your own choices. I am curious why the question makes you uncomfortable and if you are comfortable to share, so please tell me

You. Thank you lots for sharing your advice. I found the bit about feedback very insightful. I do feel like we live in a day and age where people have this mindset where if you've got nothing nice to say then you shouldn't say it at all. And to a point that is correct. You shouldn't be an asshole to people, but you should also let people know if they're doing things wrong or if you disagree with them. I think disagreements make healthier relationships

Or the expectation is that the young should ask the older generations and that the older generations should offer advice to younger generations. And from my perspective, age is irrelevant. I can learn from a toddler. I can learn from someone who is 100, right? And same thing goes for anybody else in relation to me and my age

I firmly believe, despite any of the societal fads going on out there today. And I know there's people that have differing views even here on swell with me, which is perfectly fine. I'm a big advocate of getting yourself a good education. And when I say good education, by no means am I advocating or that you have to go to an Ivy League school or some top notch school. Just go to college, okay? And beyond that, important life lessons or takeaways

Hello. Sorry, I didn't see this till now. I absolutely agree with what you're saying, that the older generation, of course, learns from the younger generation as well. It is a cross kind of learning thing, as you say. So while I ask this question specifically to the older people, I'm just curious of learning from the older people here because they've had more, probably more experience than me in life. So I thank you for responding and explaining to me

Thank you for sharing such wisdom. In all honesty, I feel like I am none of those things, so I could definitely learn a thing for being patient and a hardworking. Nevertheless, I thank you for sharing your story and in the future I will attempt to heed your wisdom and
