Guilty pleasure films :What is yours?

article image placeholderPoster art
And it's a film that I could throw on and go back to a time that was easier and more fun and it just brings a smile on my face. And I guess that's what Guilty Pleasure films do for people. So I wanted to ask out there and Swell Castle and what's your Guilty Pleasure film? Send a cast down reply this way and discuss it and tell me why it's your Guilty pleasure film. And if you feel really guilty about liking it

Talking guilty pleasure films, What is yours and do you really feel guilty about enjoying it?

Elf!

I don't know. I don't think there's a movie that makes me feel so Giggly makes me feel Giggly, and I'm due for it. I haven't watched it in a couple of years, actually. So this is a good reminder. Yeah. Elf

This is one of my all time guilty pleasures. In fact, when I am writing up a movie review for friends on Facebook or something, I watched, I remind them not to pay attention to me because I own Cabin Boy, and therefore, that's about what my thoughts are worth on a film. I love this movie. The reason being it's ridiculous. It's over the top stupid

Like Mike 😂

First of all, Neal, I love Avengers in Babysitting. Just a really allaround fun movie. Not the best movie, but a fun movie which leads me to my pick, which is also not the best movie, but a very fun movie. And as we ridiculous as it sounds, that is like Mike

Too many to name.

Three Ninjas. Surf Ninjas. Surf Ninjas. Yeah. I would say that's something I liked that I don't think a lot of people cared about all that much. What are some other films I could think of that I enjoyed, but not Everybody is Falling Down with Michael Douglas. That was one of the funniest films

You know, going off Dewan's mention of Last Action hero. It's not a guilty pleasure of mine. But I can never forget when that film was coming out. And I was listening to The Howard Stern Show at the time, and Robin Quivers was invited to the premiere. Her and she gushed about this movie that it was, quote, the best movie she had ever seen. And so I went to see it when it came out with a bunch of friends

Hi, Deborah, thanks for chiming in. Yeah, Elf is a very funny movie and I don't know if one would feel guilty about liking it, but it's pretty silly film, but it's it's got some really good actors in it. And Will Ferrell is extremely funny in it. And it's highly entertaining. And it also makes me giggly inside too when I watch it. So yeah, thanks for the input. And Elf is a very funny comedy

Speed Racer 🏎

The characters are flat. That being said, Emile Hirsch, Christina Ricci, Susan Sarandon, John Goodman are amazing. They make you care about the cartoon cutouts. Yes. The cars defied the law of physics. Yes. The color hue and the production design is so garish, so neon that it looks like a six year old vomited crayons all over their playroom. And that's what makes it brilliant. This is not a movie about a love of race cars

Thanks for chiming in. Yeah. Chris Elliot, anything he does is hilarious. I'm a big fan of Chris Elliott, and he actually lives here in Connecticut, where I'm from and a huge fan of his. He does some really funny stuff. I think he's an underrated comedic actor. And Cabin Boy is a hilarious film, and I think everyone should see it. It's one of those films that just makes you in a good mood if you're in a bad mood

Thanks for chiming in Taylor. Yeah, Adventures in Babysitting is one of my favorites. It's a really fun film to watch, and the replay value is really very high on it. I could throw it in at any time and still laugh like Mike. I can't say I've ever heard of that film. Not a huge fan of Lil Bow wow, but it seems like a really unrealistic film, but I guess that's what makes it a guilty pleasure. And you've certainly enjoyed it

And the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle films are funny and Speed Racer has a big fan base and it serves its purpose. It's that's your guilty pleasure and you're right to it. And it entertained you. So that's cool. Maybe I'll check it out. Thanks for the input

How to Deal

So I would be shocked if any of you have seen this movie. But I mean, who knows? So one of my guilty pleasures is definitely the 2003 movie how to Deal With Mandy Moore. And I watched it a number of years ago for the first time since I think I was in high school when it came out and I watched it with some friends and we were just laughing so hard the entire time

But you enjoyed it. And that's awesome. And that's what Guilty Pleasures are all about. And I have to admit, I think Mandy Moore is a really cute girl. I always have even when she was singing when she was a little pop star. I remember. And then she transitioned over into acting. But yeah, I do remember those type of films. There was a slew of them in the early 2000s, and most of them are Guilty Pleasures
