Organizational Culture: Who Really Benefits from WFH jobs?

article image placeholderUploaded by @MsColes77
I believe that it is time to implement some in person gatherings for employees. Now, I know that's difficult for remote companies where it is strictly remote. There is no headquarters. But I work for a company where we do have a local office, and most of the employees are local, and we're just working from home. I think it's time to have some in person meetings. I understand why Amazon and other large companies are asking for their employees to start coming back into the office

I'm over it. I'm just being honest. I'm over it. And I love being able to work from home. I do have some work friends. We have a group chat that we go into, and we'll talk or whatever, and we may call each other in the group, chat and talk or whatever on teams, but yeah, I don't know if I agree with you on this one. I don't know if I want to

Ahead. This is a good conversation. Tanya that because of the pandemic, we do have more people who started working from home. The fun thing is that I've always worked from home, or I've worked from home, I won't say always, but I've worked from home longer than the Pandemic. I was actually working from home a few years before that

So I wasn't organized on that level. And honestly, now, even now to this day, he's older, he's in school. Me working from home just better on my mental health. My mental health is better. I don't have to worry about the stresses of gossip in the office or rushing to get dressed in the morning, bad traffic. I don't have to worry about any of that

So I do agree that it has some benefits. But listen, I will say my mental health has definitely improved from not working in an office. And now that I'm in a place where I am getting therapy and things like that, I just think that working from home just assists in that. But yeah

I was just nesting here at home. I want to go nowhere. But, yeah, it's definitely an acquired taste, depending on the person, the personality and the best way they work. Some people work best in unsupervised environments, like remote environments, and then some people, they just really need to be at work. So thank you so much for chiming in, as always, though

But like you, I had friends that were going into the office every day, and so it was like, okay, they got things to talk about. They got experiences to talk about at work. And I don't have any experiences because I'm just here at home. But, yeah, I can relate to everything you said on every level. And the being alone part, that's why I don't really like doing five days a week at home
