Quarter Life Crisis//Quote of the Day

article image placeholderUploaded by @MarleyMusarra
But I also see just as many people who are quitting their jobs and stepping out of that or have already became self employed in their own startups and all of that. So there's a really big spectrum. But I believe that I see far too many people, my peers, people my age, who just are not content and fulfilled with that monotonous day to day, but they don't know what else there is. So that's my take. Feel free to give yours

It's just harder and harder to take time off other than the holiday scheduled anyway. That's a whole other topic. But this has been the last couple of years, being a teaching artist and doing other gigs and having more freedom, and it felt really nice. But I still have a lot of anxiety about not having the benefits and the kind of security you have when you're working for a full time position

And I can say I think a lot of my peers also did the same. I have one friend who got married recently, which is amazing. But, yeah, I think the pandemic really oh, gosh. Just put things into perspective in a way that has never been in my mind, at least. Yeah. I don't know. It's definitely interesting on how to live a life that you enjoy, which sounds easy enough, but surprisingly hard, I guess, for me

Also, just I like how you mentioned that being grounded, it kind of brings my mind to, like, if we're truly grounded in our self and our own personal power and our stability comes from within. Yes, all of the outward stability is still important, but it's like we're able to ride those waves of lack of stability and security so much stronger and better if our internal world is grounded and stable. So, yeah, thank you for sharing and love these conversations

Because some people might never take the time to realize that, and then even if they do, they might not be intentional and put it to use. Good stuff. Thanks for sharing

A different take

But I've suffered with depression, dysthymia, chronic depression for 1516 years. And as a part of that, I'm not sure how vulnerable to get, to be honest with you. There's a realm in which suicidal thoughts would play a role and mainly dealing with shame and feelings of worthlessness and these sorts of things. And when these patterns would play out again and again and again, I would just find myself exhausted

And I think that's definitely reflected in what's said here. So it's just a greater reminder that's something I should keep at the forefront of my mind and I will absolutely try to

And these are things that our parents have felt and generations before us, and they have just become so complacent with life, and they didn't think to see or believe that it was more for them to do rather than just settling. So this is really great to hear another perspective. And I'm sorry this is, like, so long, but yes, this is the first time that I'm, like, really posted on here. So I hope you are listening to my message. Thank you

Marley, thank you so much for sharing this topic. And this quote, this seems like a very interesting quote. Like at first let me confusing, but I think we'll just have to find our way around what it means to us. US. So I think it's like it says dya 30 and buryatch 80. I would analyze it, like till 30 we have that compassion and kind of like passion for life and things in our life

And there is a way you can figure it out somehow. And some day it will be okay. So thank you so much for talking about this. I'm glad you shared this. I'm glad you talked about this specific quote. Please do tell me the name of the book. I tried to read it. I hope it was a book. I don't know. It was a book, right? Yeah. So thank you so much for that. I hope you have a great day

I would definitely be really curious to know kind of what you feel like those cycles and limiting beliefs that consistently patterns that come up over time. I'd be curious if you're willing to share even more on what they are. I think even as a freelance photographer doing your own thing. Maybe out of the rat race in some ways. But nonetheless. If there are many ways in which we are in the system even when we don't want to be

I'd be curious to hear about what some of those ways are for you and what you feel like you're combating in your own life in terms of complacency or patterns or those systems that were taught to us, the programming that's not even our own. I'd be curious to hear what you feel like is most pre that you're combating right now or that you have in the past

And then slowly after time micro adjustment, by micro adjustment, I'm living a way different life than I was at that time and it's a life much more aligned with my values, with what matters to me. I'm able to be my own boss and manage my own time and really have freedom because that was what I was looking for. And I feel like freedom is there are so many facets to it and it's peeling all the layers back, it's an onion

Feel like it's top of my mind all the time, but, yeah, exactly what you said. I think that it's about your dying on the inside and your soul is kind of shriveling up because you're not feeling fulfilled or passionate about anything, and you're just going through the motions rather than really, truly living your life. And yes, you're dying on the inside at 30, but your physical body is making it much longer
