More dietary options on the west coast?

article image placeholderUploaded by @livblair
It's like if I always ask at restaurants if there's stuff that's like gluten free or dairy free, they have so much to show me and I think we have food vegan restaurants from where I'm from on the Coast Coast, but I don't think that they're like it's just not as prevalent. I think they're really good when you find them, but I just don't think that there are as many especially as just like regular restaurants

Hi. So I 100% agree with this. I definitely am not the type of person that's looking for vegan food mainly, but my best friend is dairy free. My other friend can't eat glue in. So we have to go through a lot of options that are vegan in because of dairy. And so Monte is super good. And then they just opened and they all down here in La. That's vegan, I think. I haven't tried it

I think it's funny too, because it's like I remember you said you went to UCSB too, like NIB. It's just like there's no health food places maybe like causing smoothie bowls. So I thought that was funny. It was like if you go outside of Ivy, you'll have all of that, but it's still like a College town. So you're going to have all those kind of like just like pizza places, stuff like that

And I definitely think, for example, bagels are really big on the East Coast, like in Boston and in New York, and I feel like it might be difficult to get a vegan bagel or vegan cream cheese bread in New York or at least when I was there. And I was able to get one like a nondairy vegan cream cheese bread here in Seattle or like Portland or San Francisco very easily. It's not a good thing or a bad thing

Yeah, I definitely agree. I feel like here, it's funny because some of my friends and I went to this little French cafe shop and it was just funny. One of my friends who doesn't drink like nondairy milk and we all ordered like lattes and they're like, oh, do you want like almond, oat or soy milk? And he was like, can I have cow milk? And they were like, what? And he was like, can I just have regular milk?

But this actually reminds me of when I was in Italy or stories I've heard of people going and traveling to Europe and they try to get like non dairy milk and then they get made fun of it. They get laughed at because I guess that's not the norm, especially in Europe where, like everyone drinks cow's milk

But I think it's awesome though now how it's like nondairy milk is just such a common thing. And stuff without gluten is becoming more common too. But no, it was just so funny because my friend was just like tonight have coast milk and then he's and then the guy was just so confused, he's like, what
