"Don’t Have Sex With Men" says Bette Midler
Many who want to limit that choice are also women. How then do you convince them? Third, it assumes heterosexual interactions are the basis of this leverage. That's a big problem in terms of saying a non straight or queer person doesn't wield the same amount of power in addressing this issue. It also assumes that only women have sex with men who have abortions and ignores the assistance of nonbinary and trans individuals who also have this medical procedure

So they're going to end up living that really because they're getting told that that's who they are. So I do think that that's a really valid point. All of your points are valid, but that one kind of really hit me. And the other thing is around stopping having sex with men. You said that it kind of implies that women have sex with men or people have sex with men because it's obligatory or it's for men

That argument withholding sex is actually one of the things that there was a certain number of women who became lesbians in response to the idea that they didn't want to be having sex with men for political reasons, although that's not the only reason. So. Anyway, thank you for your response. And I'm glad that you pre appreciated my point of view. Bye

I realized that I misspoke a little bit when I said that women became lesbians in the second wave. Not necessarily that they became lesbians because you are. You aren't that they chose to have sex with women rather than men for political reasons, regardless of what their sexuality may have been. That's kind of beside the point. I just wanted to be clear. So I I didn't put information that was inaccurate out there

But my point really was it's good that we have very influential people talking about it or that are in the public eye that could get other people talking about it because we need to talk about we need people to speak out about it. But again, agree with you that this isn't the greatest message that middleer could have put out and other people have put out. And again, I do absolutely agree with you that she could have spoken out about what was happening in Texas in a different light
