There are two types of people in the world

They're all about themselves and what they can acquire and just take, you know, dog eat dog world type of people. And those who are considerate are the ones that are self aware, acknowledge others around them, try to make everyone else's life maybe a little bit easier, more pleasant, and they're just compassionate people. So that's my opinion. Two types of people in the world, the selfish and the considerate

Yeah, it's a great response to this, the givers and the takers. Right. I answered this prompt as well. And mine was about the people who say life is short and people say life is long. I'm one of those people who believes life is long. But yeah, there's givers and takers. My wife is a giver for sure. She runs a nonprofit, so she gives back to the community, and she's all about that outside of work as well

And it is, for me in my field of work, it's kind of rare. So it's a lot of the times a dog eat dog world. So when I hear that, it gives me hope and encouragement. So thank you very much for your response

And I myself have worked to remove the negative stigma around the word selfish. Because I think there are some times in life where it really does serve us to be more selfish and to take care of ourselves in a greater way from time to time. I'm not saying, you know, we should cut people off as a means of not defending that in any way, but I am implying that there are many moments in life where it does benefit us as a person to do things solely for us

@dobbsty

Dobbs, thank you so much for your response and helping me reflect. And this is so much in alignment with some of the conversations I've been having lately. I'm on another platform where we discuss topics like this, and it, funny it came up yesterday, I think the vocabulary that we're using and our identification of what words mean. So to me, selfish is not synonymous with self care or prioritizing self
