#HerStory | Using our voice and influence to help women’s causes...

Why do you think that is? And an example would be, recently I had a friend of mine say that men are less emotional than women and women are more emotional. And so I asked him why he thought that was the case, and he kind of froze up because he was expecting me to get frustrated, because that statement can absolutely be a bit sexist. But I just

Hey, I love that you came and shared this. I do feel like this question can make you feel like you have to be someone of super importance. But I agree with you. If we can make small changes in our everyday lives by having really constructive and amazing conversations without getting heated, then I think you're using your voice for change

Or it might take too much time to explain. Or obviously everyone has different moods and things, but I wonder if that's really starting to impact our culture and how we're starting to communicate with each other. And I think just having that stillness, maybe just taking that stillness for yourself to think something through and then communicate that, yeah, that could be really cool. So thank you for your reply

As far as education, I think we have a long, long way to go. I think we need to raise our sons to be better men. I think they. We need to put more emphasis on balance rather than over masculinity or some sort of macho ideology. I think we need to raise our women to be more capable of setting boundaries from the beginning. I think we need to raise our society up to a level where we can actually have conversation without it becoming a divisive discourse

Hey, Rusty, I just came across your reply here, and I just wanted to thank you for your clarity of thought around this, starting with, you know, bringing up men in ways that boys, in ways they'll become good men, and also the idea of just the listening culture that's so deeply needed in these conversations where people don't feel threatened, they don't feel defensive

Hello, this is India. I just want to share why I use my voice to influence other women. My story is pretty deep, and I've experienced a lot of storms, put it that way, in my life. And the lessons that I learned throughout all that I haven't endured and the wisdom that I have gained has brought me to a place where I can be that voice for women
