#Masterclass | How to tell a Great Story in five minutes

article image placeholderUploaded by @DBPardes
And if nothing else, I hope this inspires you and sparks you to kind of create a structure through which you can tell a great story here. And of course, this Swell is open. So if you have any ideas or any questions, please leave them here. So I'm going to reply and just take you into these three areas and give you some examples. And then hopefully it'll help you. So I'm really excited about the Tellyourstory hashtag tag series on Swell

Drop us In

We remember stories because they're in the past tense, but you certainly can tell the story in the present tense. So just drop us in. Don't waste our time. Get us engaged. I'll do something for you. Right now, I'm going to talk about a story, and this is the first section of the story. It's 2006. It's Paris

Show us around - the journey

Hello. Okay, now you have to show us around. Take us on the journey. We have to know why this is a story. So stories are across an axis of time. No matter what kind of story it is, there's an arc. You are taking us on that arc now. Okay. We need to know things are happening and as they're happening, we need to know how you're feeling and all the characters that are playing inside the world you're dropping us into

Take us Home

So I'm going to take you back to this moment of this time. So this couple was married, and I stood there after singing and shaking in my boots. Literally, I realized that I kicked off this experience for them, and people were peeking in the windows and coming from the outside in, and it was a very quick wedding, and they got married in the lobby without paying a dime. And then we left the lobby and we walked across the Notre Dame Bridge and saw more sights

When I joined The Swellcast, this is the first course I was looking for, how to tell a great story. Because you're absolutely correct. You're bang on the point that stories have legacies. It is a transfer of energy from one person to another, and the person who is telling the story and the person who is listening to the story make a connection, make a bond
