Q1 Background and experience with AI

So, Henry, my first question to you is, for the benefit of our listeners, if you can share a bit about your own background. And how did you get interested in the field of artificial intelligence?

And we have gatherings, like with GABA, Meetup, various different organizations besides the students I work with and those I'm a client or those who are my clients. Because since I'm a teacher, I also get a lot of chance to go out and meet people in the workplace at places like Facebook and Google and Apple

Q2 Hype vs Reality

Is it just way overblown? So let me know what you think about the way the whole, especially media, in many ways, kind of the media world, as the one that has really hyped it, way beyond even the techies who tend to hype it. So I'm very curious to understand how you look at it in terms of hype versus reality

@arish

I've always been of the Opinion that you have to you have to stand up to the criticism and you have to listen to It. Certainly this is a big surprise for a lot of people, I will tell you that. I've been here in Silicon Valley for seven years, been taking computer science classes at Stanford for five. And In November Of 22, when Chat GPT was released and OpenAI had all that investment from Microsoft, I felt kind of sick

Q3 Impact on Jobs and Career

Younry. My next question to you is the impact that AI is going to have on jobs and careers. If you were to give advice to students and job seekers, what would you tell them? How do you think AI is going to impact the job market? And should students focus on acquiring any specific knowledge and skills to be better prepared for that?

@arish

Hello. I am the one who believes that you really have to work hard and you have to be smart and you need to help people who aren't. This is really very difficult question about jobs and where they're going. I think that we have a lot more time to think when we have these tools and personal assistants and customer service representatives that are actual avatars. I understand that. I think we need a guaranteed income that would help

Q4 What has surprised you?

Younry. You have been covering the tech space for a while, and you've seen many other Hype cycles around, various technology that have come and gone, and some have changed the world and some have not. What is different this time? What has surprised you about the AI Hype that we are seeing right now? And what has surprised you about the Ali technology that you have seen and as it is being used used? Is there something that you have found completely unexpected?

@arish

It's not as if I'm going to go run off and report that, but I would say that I would seriously take a look at what it came up with. I also enjoy, of course, the topic of bias. I really am hopeful that we can get more people from more diverse backgrounds into the technology, into our data sets, into what we have available, to really take a look at some benefits from this technology. I think the benefits are huge

Q5 How has it impacted your personally?

You. My next question, Henry, is about the impact these AI tools, tools like Chat GPT and other Generative Ali platforms, are having on you personally and professionally. Are you using any of these tools in your day to day life? Are there any specific tools that you have found to be very effective, very good, and that you would recommend our listeners to try out as well?

@arish

It's. This is not a fair question for me because I am working with a startup and in that space so I have a nondisclosure agreement and I just prefer not to comment

Q6 Thank you and a request

So if you come across something interesting or if there is a topic that you feel is worth discussing, it'd be awesome if you could post in your own Swell cast that topic, a question, a link that you want people to read and learn more about AI and discuss on Swell. Just use hashtag AI and do your post on it whenever you get a chance this week. With that, I would like to thank you once again and look forward to more conversations with you

You're. Thank you so much. This is a great platform. What what a joy to be able to share some thoughts just as you're, you know, sitting here late at night, thinking over everything you've done throughout the day. It's just really, really something
