So how does a young girl grow in such a family in a remote and isolated environment under such enormous scrutiny from her parents, especially her father, who, in addition to being a believer of conspiracy theories, was also suffering from bipolar disorder? This is the premise of this memoir, which explores the subject of staunch family loyalty what cost are you going to pay for either losing yourself or losing the ties with your family?

Hi Samurin. I remember reading this book last year and I had so much expectations. You know, I read it after seeing so many high ratings on the internet, but I'm sure you might have seen it too. But I ended up feeling a little meh about it. There was a part of this book that I did not that it did enjoy. Let's talk about that. So Tara's thirst for knowledge and teaching herself and gaining entrance to college without a formal education

And yes, I understand all that and the way she recounts each and every memory in detail even when she was a child is also very commendable. But the thing that I was wondering is what would the other account about? You know, how about writing from her father and mother points of view?

So I think the premise is pretty much grounded. However, the treatment is where I think I felt little something was missing. Nevertheless, let's keep our conversation going on. More books, more stories, more themes. And thank you so much again. It really helps to listen to other perspectives and feedback. So thank you so much again. Bye

And I also know that in most conservative communities and families, all or any form of abuse usually gets unreported and untreated. So whatever she mentioned about her violent brother and how he treats her and other girls is also a grim reality of this country or of such communities. Anyways, I'm really thankful to you for sharing your thoughts and having a brief discussion on this book. I'm looking forward to more of such in the future. Cheers. Th

But it made me think about a memoir that is different as far as the story that is dealing with sort of similar aspects as far as the perspective of a child growing up in an abusive household or in a situation where mental illness very much impacts their childhood and how they end up living. And that is the glass castle by Jeanette Wells walls. Sorry. And that book just impacted me so intensely. And I don't necessarily think it's because I think the story is more powerful

Hi. I'm so glad and happy to hear from you about the perspective on this book. Through this conversation, I felt my thoughts getting the validation I was seeking, probably because of the discomfort or the mixed feelings I had after reading it. It is so fascinating that you mentioned the glass castle. And let me tell you why
