What are your plans this summer? In 2023?
Hello, everyone. This is wehi on the Stories of Hawai'i podcast. I was just wondering how people or you all on Swell are spending your summer. And with my last podcast post on here, I'm doing a summer internship case management class and while working part time at Avis and Budget as a cleaner car cleaner. And I'm really enjoying it. It's a lot of work. I'm balancing everything up pretty well

Hi, everyone. I hope you guys get this reply or post, but I forgot to mention my trip. So as a birthday gift, my family will be helping me to go on a retreat to Kauai on another totally different island. And I'm just super stoked. It's a young adult retreat and I am super stoked because that island is such a beautiful place. There's Waimea Canyon or something like that. And then with other Christian folks who have the same beliefs as I do

I also go to Joshua Tree because no one goes, and it's always easier to go because there's no one there because it's too hot. But I go. It's about 2 hours away, and I like to be really hot and it slows me down. So I try to go a couple of times in the summer. Thanks for including us in your summer

My wife is in the photo with me with our last trip where we went to New Orleans, the New York trip coming up here soon. I think we're going to try to do something with our boys as well. Maybe a camping trip or something, who knows?

Wow. New York for the first time. That's so cool. To fly across the country like that for work must be a huge deal. And I'm just curious what you do for work. And I give you props, big props, to speak in front of a lot of people. And it's just really cool to have that courage to do that. I'm working on my courage. And what am I getting?

I love what I do. And one day, maybe I'll give you some pointers on how you can speak to a crowd. I used to be very shy. Now I'm making up for lost time. Have a beautiful summer. Bye

But I realized that I found little tricks as an introvert that helped others, and if I could be brave and put myself out there, they were nervous too. I had something they needed, and as people responded positively to that, just gave me more and more courage. So in my career, I'm an author, I'm a speaker, I do workshops, consult
