MARS for a YEAR: Would you go?
So if you've seen the movie In The Martian with Matt Damon in 2015, you've seen the visuals of how dangerous marsh can be and the extreme risks associated with being there. The dust storms can last months and they're extremely harsh. It's a very harsh and dangerous place. So my question to you is, would you live on Mars for a year if you had the chance? Look forward to hearing everyone's replies. Have a great weekend. Bye
Have you ever had one of those packages at Christmas or your birthday looks so amazing that you almost don't want to open it because the anticipation is exciting. I don't know how to describe it, but once you open the box, then it's the Schrodinger's cat thing. Then you know whether or not the cat is alive or dead before that, I don't know. There's just something different. So the trip there with the excitement and anticipation, I think I might enjoy that

Hey, Eric. How you doing? Yes, definitely I would go, but here's my parameters. I would want to be about 75 years old, so it's nearing the end of my lifespan on Earth anyway, and I'm about to say goodbye to to all my loved ones anyway. And to be honest, I feel like I've experienced pretty much everything at this age of 55. So what more is there to experience? Okay, there's lots more to experience
I couldn't even say it right. Benevolent. There we go. You know what? Here's the thing. We have so many ideas about aliens and so on. It's like when a new model of something comes out, whether it's a piece of tech or new piece of software, I want others to try it, at least for a little bit

I don't know, but I'm not counting on that happening anyway, if the opportunity did arise, however, I think in my current age, I'd love to go for that. The only catch is I would only want to be gone for a short period of time and then come back and tell my story. Because I think the adventure would be absolutely mind blowing, would be pretty incredible

So if you want to send it to me, I'll put my email in here because Cornwall was an amazing, stunning place. It was just so good living there. What's that thing that people say, right? About what? You know, did you say you haven't been there, so maybe you researched it. I suppose us do a lot of research, don't they? Well, good for you for getting a book out there

Hey, Eric, can you send me a private message? I seem to be having issues getting to my private message area. And then I'll put my email in there and I'd be happy to have a scan of your chapters, buddy. Good for you
Georgie, you read my mind. I need many postcards from space. Many and frequently every bit stuff. I need digital photos, I need recordings of the sounds. I need it all. And, of course, we need some selfies on the ship. And all of your interactions with the aliens, please. I need it. That's such a bummer. Eric they come to where I live
And then I just watched another movie yesterday with Ryan Gosling where he portrayed Neil Armstrong, and I'm like, oh, Lord, it's just I can't do it. I've done some crazy stuff in my lifetime. Absolutely phenomenal. Fun, exciting, adventurous. But that would be one thing I would not want to do or jump ahead of somebody in line to do. Hey, thanks for posing the question, and forgive me for being such a coward, but can't do it

Hey, Warpig. Hey, it's Eric. Thanks, man, for replying to my post about Mars. I totally understand where you're coming from regarding the risks and the dangers. I get it. I think if it were me, I would definitely go because it would be a wonderful and a lifetime chance. Yeah. I am old enough that I remember the days of the Gemini. Apollo pretty amazing. Those guys were heroes to me

But even if the conditions calmed down and they got it under control and it was inhabitable, would we want to leave Earth? Is an interesting question. Life, what will that be like if that happens, if Mars becomes a replacement for Earth and Earth, ironically, if Earth becomes uninhabitable and Mars becomes an inhabitable ecosystem that humans have created, would we live there then? We might have to. So very interesting question
