John the Baptist: The Guy Before The Guy
This is Rooster Collins and characters of the Bible, a living document as we learn and grow together. But here is your little primer for John the Baptist. So this can't be haphazard. You see, a lot of people use these words, do a lot of bad things, and that's not my game. All right? If I ever have questions about what I believe in, I turn to the good book. And the word was made flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the father, full of grace and truth. John, bear witness of him. Again, the next day, after John stood in two of his disciples and looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, behold, the lamb of God. And the two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus. Then Jesus turned and saw them following and saith unto them, what seek ye? They said unto him, rabbi, which is to say, being interpreted, master, where dwellest thou? He saith unto them, come and see
Everything I've said up until this point has been right on the mummy. I was even reading you out of the New Testament and he sits here saying he's a christian minister and he's going to explain to everyone how it works. Are you out of your mind? People are going to stop giving to the church if you start talking about all these things. Oh, yeah. No, they won't. No, they won't. They won't. Trust me. Take the ride

I think we paid the bona fides, read the gospel according to John, then we riffed a bit, got in the scenes. I think that's what I like. Is that like thinking about it in that terms? A little improv, like, what was the scene like? I like that kind of stuff. Should we just barrel ahead through that? Should we border? Should we just walk the thin line of heresy? Should we walk the thin line of being stricken straight to hell?

And then there's been a subs, so many johns after that. I've always found in life, if you find a john, you find a gentleman who knows what the fuck he's talking about. It's a rule you can live by everybody John, not Jonathan. Not Jonathan. A man named John, J-O-H-N knows some shit
So, if John's are to be trusted, what do we say of roosters? Why can't you say of a rooster? It's not even my real name. It is a pseudonym, a character, a personality, a lifestyle, a nickname bestowed upon me by someone I care about it in a very important time of my life. Rooster Collins. Oh, that name.
