So giving a good book with a good message is what all aspiring authors should really endeavor to do. Selling a book is different, but bringing out a book which somebody will love to read is different. So I think every author who is passionate will be able to bring out a good book. So for every aspiring author, my advice is be passionate about your writing. Try to keep improving your writing at every point of stage, and the more you read, the better your writing will be
