It's almost like I have to convince you that my life is still amazing because society does not agree. I also saw a video, it's been several months ago now, of Chelsea Handler, who is also single without children, except she's substantially older. Chelsea is probably in her late forty s and she was going on bragging about how she can just lay in bed and she can get up whenever she wants to, she can just take trips wherever she wants to, whenever she wants to

So if those things are trying to convince other single people without kids that your life is so much better because you don't have kids, then fine. I think you may succeed in that. I don't think it does anything to convince people who have parents because it's hard to really understand how much of a gift that is, even if it's a struggle when you don't have it

And so when people I mean, if you're going to celebrate, okay, I'm alive and whatever because you're divorced, fine. But when it's like, it's almost the same thing. I could take all these trips. I can spend my money. I ain't got to cook for nobody. They show that aspect of it, but they don't show other aspects of it. It's like, who are you trying to convince? It's like we live in a world where everybody's trying to find that advantage, that place that separates them from everybody else. Like, I'm not like the rest of them. I'm different, and this is why I'm different, and this is what makes my life better. And so it's just very sad to see that. And of course, there are always these kind of people, but the videos or the content that is created by these people is clearly different from those who are just sharing a day in their lives. And you can see it. For example, when you go on TikTok and you start scrolling and there's a guy like, for example, for me, it pops up just like, hey, I'm a farmer, I want to share my day with you

You can get in your friendship circles. You don't have to go to the Internet to get negativity. You can get it in real life, especially if you're doing good and you're happy and you're content and you're living your life. I agree with you. I think those people that post that, they're looking for attention, right? They're looking for validation via likes, comments, shares

I can find peace in this decision by promoting all the upside, everything good that has happened in my life since my divorce. So I can find some sort of peace in the decision that I made. And like I said, it's misleading because I would rather somebody be 100% real about the aspects of the divorce, the good and the bad, versus trying to make it look like it's all good and nothing negative to say about it. So yes, you are so right on this

And I'm not saying there are people without children who are perfectly happy and have never wanted children, had no desire for children, love to travel, do all that. But then there's those that they're still waiting. It may happen. So in the meantime, those folks have to pump themselves up that their life is just rate the way it is, when deep down they know they're missing out on a few things they wish were part of their lives

I mean, like I said, I would rather a single person come online and talk about the ups and downs of being single, because as a single person, I can relate to both. But if you're trying to sell me on the idea that every day of your life is like a vacation because you're single, I know as a single person that is not true. Your life is not a vacation. Every day. Life is not easy because you're single

Hey, SIS, thank you so much. I agree with you. People are too busy living life to be bragging about life on Facebook or any other social media platform. If you truly are content with your life, you have nothing to brag about. You're just enjoying your life, and you're going on about that. But the ones who brag the hardest, the ones who stunt the hardest, are the ones typically whose life does not mirror what they actually live

They are missing something in their lives, and they're trying to focus on all of the good so that they don't ever think about some of the areas of their life they wish were different. And like you said with Chelsea, chelsea Handler and other women in that age group, of course, you know, there if if they are still fertile, then that that window of fertility is closing

They have a kid with now. And at the same time my friend now she's retired. She now desperately wanted to adopt children because she is the only child in the family. Their parents are gone, they died a while ago and she does not have a real family to hang out with. And she's looking for adopting a child. She has not been successful. At the same time I was married, I had five children and later on I became single dad and I struggled

There's pros and cons to being married. There's pros and cons to being a parent. There's pros and cons to being single. There's pros and cons to not having kids. So you can see pros and cons in everything. And when it's our life, when we're the ones living it, we really think the grass is greener on the other side because there are parents out there that aren't happy being parents, and they do long for days where they can sleep in
