The Power of Pushing Through

Like, I'm 39 years old, I've been there for 17 years, and I'm still looked at as the kid. And that's why I wasn't given the opportunities for promotion, and that's why I wasn't given the opportunities to do things that many people knew that I was capable of. I had a conversation with somebody yesterday, and they were like, your rank should be higher. And I said, I know it's politics. It's a whole bunch of stuff

You're. Hello, Patrick. I am so happy that things worked out for you to feel wanted and appreciated at your workplace, especially after so long. I also want to thank you for sharing those words. They really mean a lot to me

Thank You!

She teaches high school math, geometry and algebra. She means the world to her students. I can't tell you how many times I've seen handwritten notes from her kids telling her that she's the reason they come to school every day, in some cases telling her that they helped them get through the whole high school experience. We run into these kids out and about in the neighborhood as we go about and do our business as a family

I've been pushing through for so long and I know eventually one day things will change. I think if I keep pushing through and doing the things that I have a passion for, one day it'll break through. You know, and I hear this story all the time from all kinds of mediums, from writing, movies, music. It's just part of being an artist. That's why it's called the starving artist
