Is it pain? Is it pleasure? Yes?

She was one of the major poets of the 20th century, the first black and I think also the first female poet laureate of the United States, back when we called that the poetry consultant to the Library of Congress. This poem by her is called An Aspect of Love alive in the ice and Fire. In a package of minutes there is this we how beautiful Mary foreigners in our morning. For me, when I think about poetry that pulls those two experiences together and braids them in such a lush way, and I definitely feel that. I wrote a song called Blessing or A Curse and it was the title of an album, actually. And in Blessing or Curse, I I struggle with I struggle with this feeling all the time. It was more about unrequited love, but it definitely dealt with this. Oh, I get it so much

Deborah. Yes, it's an obad. It's French. A-U-B-A-D-E. But I really wanted mostly to reply with thanks to you for posting the song. It's really wonderful to hear some of your own original work here in music. I appreciate it so much. And, yes, that's exactly what we're talking about, is not the heart or the mind fixed on a singular idea or a singular thought, but in mid thought, as it were, between things. Thank you
