In responding to this beautiful book about ritual and faith. I want to participate in this book club, and I want to talk about a simple practice in my life that ties me to a ritual. And it's my Friday nights when I light the candles, it helps me not only distinguish between the week and the Sabbath, but it also reminds me that there are people all over the world old that are doing the same thing

I think you have to go back to the oldest faiths, Judeo faiths, christian, jewish, islamic, all are heavily steeped in ritual practice. Also, the hindu and Shinto faiths have a great deal of ritual that is an important part of each of those faiths
