Yes, I did know of the sanskrit poets like Kalidasa and Mannabhatta, but I have never exactly explored their work, except for, like, small texts like Shakuntala, which my mother had narrated to me. And I did know of the profound dramatic scriptures of Sanskrit. But poetry was such a new experience for me. So when I first had the chance to read the book, I did not know what I was getting into. But once I started reading it, I could not stop
