Kierkegaard | The function of prayer is not to influence God, but rather to change the nature of the one who prays.

I go to God in prayer and say, God, what's up with this? Because God knows if this person's time to go and it doesn't make sense for me to buck up against that by praying for recovery, praying for long life when God has already kind of given us the heads up that this will be it. And so I do ask God how to direct those prayers. And this has been private

He has healed and he has made us one and has broken down that middle wall of partition between us. It is peaceful to know that you can have your relationship with God restored, that you can be close to someone you alienated yourself from. Natural relationships don't usually work out as well. That is truly what God wants. Relationship. All he wants is for his people to be close to him

As I view the external world before I am affected by the external world, regardless of stimuli, so a renewal occurs. And like, I learned it from like, and I guess it's got a meditator. I'm a heavy meditator. I learned it from that way of life in a world of meditation and study, that once you extend out the ability, you have to think about an action

At a young age, before I got deeper into my connection with God, I used to go to him only when I needed something, right? I would pray and say, God, this and this is happening. Fix it for me, right? But now that I've gotten so deep into my spiritual journey and I've built such a powerful relationship with God that I don't only turn to him when I need something
