Okay, she smoked, so she had probably burned a hole in the seat and basically knew it was going to cost, you know, something to get the seat prepared and didn't want to pay for it. So it was going to be somebody else's problem, he was hoping. But once again, if I'd had a technician in the shop who worked on that car, who had smoked, there was no way that I could say, no, ma'am, this didn't happen here

Except to turn it off. Don't change the stations. Don't turn the volume up. You can turn the volume down or turn the radio off, but don't do anything else to it. Okay

Now he says, well, I've seen trucks with pee tires on them before. I said, you may have to get it moving. That's Arrow's thing. Don't defend. Let's go. And I explained to him once again that, you know, it's a weight rating. You can put the pee on there. Now, most tire shops will not do it. I don't even think Walmart will do it, or Sam's club

#TrainTheTrainer With Mr. Dave - Fluids, Lifts, terms, balancing

Rule of thumb here is we put what the manufacturer calls far in the car. Now, you can go to Napa, you can go to Walmart, you can go everywhere else. You can buy this antifreeze that says all makes, all models, you can put it in the car. I was at a class and I asked this question, and it was class was being put on by Gates, which is the people who do a lot of cooling system parts and things like that

Because, well, the majority of the vehicles you're probably working on, you know, unless it's a, you know, whatever year the software is, in most cases they will be still compatible. Right. Okay. You can still do it. Updating on Twitter. An update is if you've got a Bosch scan tool, it's like $1,200. Yeah

Well, no, if it's something that, I mean, it's in the budget. It's in the budget. I thought it was a new decision, but if it's not, I think we, like you said, we need sensors, Abs modules and all that has to do with that. Yeah

They isolate the entertainment system from the rest of the system. Okay. But that causes the scan tool to not be able to do certain things. You can read codes, but you can't erase them. You can't go in and see the data stream anymore because you're going to get a message that says, enter your password for the secure gateway if you want to be able to do the secure gateway. And more cars are coming out

I'll tell you what I have, and this is one of the first things we do, like, within the first two days, is this. I have a little worksheet, and it's for three cars. I'll give you a copy of it

So the japanese cars, they build and sell more cars that are built in the United States sometimes, and I think the american manufacturers do. But you look at the VIN number. If the first letter tells you where it was built, a J. It was built in Japan. Now, like Toyotas, they're easy. All of the hybrid vehicles and the electric vehicles that Toyota builds built in Japan, they don't let those be built here. Better quality in Japan

Now, the reason why it's important with a VIN number is today at a dealership, you don't need to go out there and tell them what year, make and model the car is, because they're going to ask you for one of two things. I need the ViN number, or I need the last eight or the last ten, depending upon the manufacturer. So that's why a VIN number is very, very important, because that's the only way they can get parts

He was unhappy not knowing the answers versus leaning in with defensiveness or, you know, the ego comes out. That's a good man right there. I actually took him in the classroom and the guys
