Dollar Tree May Need to Change Its Name: Price increases up to $7 per item 🤯

article image placeholderUploaded by @MsColes77
Dollar tree was known in the retail world as an extreme discount store because they were able to procure everyday products that we were paying five and $6 for $10 for at Kmart and other places like that, and they were able to sell them to consumers for a dollar. What dollar Tree is saying the reason why they're raising their prices?

That's crazy that they did that. I don't know why it got me thinking about the war on Gaza. You know how they sometimes send their products through large ships containers and through the canal? So I don't know why I got me thinking about that. Maybe they cannot send as many products anymore. Maybe another thing, they should change it to money tree instead, since they're gonna be charging so much money. What do you think?

Dollar stores are a bit of a scam and people don’t realize it.

You know, I'm sure there's, there's probably products in there that aren't all that way, but essentially people are just getting rid of their junk and it just ends up in dollar tree or the dollar store. Dollar general is another one, although I didn't really, I don't know if I've ever been into a dollar general, even though there's one in my town

Hey, sis. Yeah, I had did a swell about this this morning in regard, well, I think it was this afternoon in regards to this, me and the dollar store on a first name basis and for them to treat me this way. No, I'm just kidding. No, seriously, for them to treat me this way and try to keep going up on the prices is ridiculous. I know that. They need to make money

In our particular neighborhood where I live, our gas prices, not gas for fuel for a car, but for heating our homes, has skyrocketed through the roof and it's a very growing neighborhood. So I'm assuming that the reason that they've raised their prices is in anticipation of all of the gas lines they're having to build for these homes that are going to be built and we're footing the bill. I could be wrong, but it kind of makes sense

They can blame it on consumers having higher incomes and being able to afford better products and better quality products. So we have to up our game now so that we can stay competitive with target and everybody else. It's I mean, it's like, whatever, but change your name. Stop saying you're the dollar tree. They took away their slogan. Their slogan used to be everything for a dollar. Everything. Yeah, I think it's everything for a dollar

They know that at dollar Tree, that's not their goal. Their goal is not to sell you the highest quality product. Their goal is to try to save you money or make you believe you're saving money. And that quality, at the end of the day, doesn't really matter. So thank you so much for this

They want to pull back on how much they're paying out in benefits. But then you've got, you know, these fixed incomes that people are having to use to survive every month. And, you know, you can't keep raising prices like that on these people. These people need your prices to stay as low as possible so they can still afford to do the things that they need without having to worry about

And so I think that's, I think that discount stores like dollar Tree, Dollar General, Family Dollar, which I know family Dollar is going out of business because of their terrible management. And their stores have been poorly kept up. So they've been poorly managed and they're going out of business
