#AskSwell | I did a NEW THING! What NEW things have you done in 2024 so far, its Day 3? 😜🤪I Did a New Thing: 30 Days to Living Free (A Feeding the Soul
I know Tabitha Brown has a book out again about doing new things. I did a new thing, so I'm trying to do a new thing and follow her lead every single day trying to do a new thing. So what new thing did you do today? I mean, I started reading a new book, so that's a new thing that I did today. And I started journaling, so that's also a new thing I did audio journaling. Not writing, though

And I still have tons of castor oil and I still have all of my packs. And I just started a resurgence of it again, or doing it again, if you will, last night. So kind of return to a new thing. Sorry, return to an old thing, but doing it for the new year

And then the castor oil treatment, is you using them in your hair or is it the body that you're using them on? You said it helps with inflammation. I love to hear more about that
You love this question and this line of thinking. Glad I came across your swell. I just started drumming lessons like two months before the holidays, and then I just casually asked around and a friend had an electronic drum kit that he wasn't using that I could use. And so this gal has a whole new line on kind of thinking about music and adding joy into her life. And I highly recommend music digging into music in some interesting new way. Thanks for posting this swell. This ask swell

Oh, wow. The drums. That is cool. I mean, I only know one other person that plays drums here on swell, Zach. But that is amazing. And then female drums. I love it. So that's interesting. That is definitely a new thing. So thank you so much for sharing that with us. Yes. And I love music. Doing something with music would probably make me extremely happy. Thank you
It took a while to learn, and it's a little tricky on the machine. We're going to try it again. We had to watch so many tutorials. We definitely messed up. They were chunky, they tasted good. They just didn't look the way that they should. This is a super cool idea, though. And I can't wait to hear more about the stuff that you've done that you've never done before

Hey, Evelyn. Audio journaling. Oh, my goodness. Journaling in general. I just love it. So I'm glad that you've begun that and also that you've started a new book. And you know me, I love reading

Now. That's awesome. Making fresh pasta. Oh, my goodness. I love pasta. Oh, my gosh. It don't love me, but I love pasta. And I love how you said it was so much fun to do and you and your husband had to watch so many tutorials, but you watched it together and you made pasta together, so that was such a fun thing to do. I'm excited to see what everybody else is doing, too

I too need to get on the bandwagon and promote my book more, but I can't wait to see what you do this year. I love the fact that you're reaching out, trying to get other people to put you in the spotlight where you deserve to be. So thank you so much for sharing that with us. And then book clubs. I thought about joining a book club myself because then it would keep me accountable for reading the actually reading and finishing the book

But it's been a very significant part of my life. I started in fourth grade and I pretty much never stopped. I'm still drumming. I have a drum kit now, and I'm part of some music programs and I do the band at school. It's just so much fun. And I'm really happy to hear that you are involved in drumming as well. It's just so much fun to drum, and I just love it so much

Soldering. It's hard to explain, but that is essentially what soldering is. Then the second thing that I did that happened just a couple of days ago in the same class in school, is I drilled for the very first time. I've seen people drill before. Like, I've seen my dad drill household projects or whatever when I was younger, but I had never really did it for my own project or did it independently before. But I learned how to drill

You always have good things. I'm trying to think of a new thing that I did today. I don't know. Hold on. I got to think about it. What did I do today? A new thing. Well, I'll say it's a new thing. It's probably not a new thing, but it's a new thing to me. I rearranged my office, so it's new to me because I wanted things put a different way

You. The new thing I have done is actually, I'm about to do it right now. No, I take that back. I'm not. I'm going to table it for Monday because it's the end of the week and I don't want my query to be put out there and missed because people are in weekend mode

It's. Now, that sounds like a plan. Getting people in the right areas who know the right people that are behind the right doors, so that when you do expand, you are right where you need to be. I love it
