Pass it on: Learning American Sign Language is AWESOME!❤️🤟🏾

One time it was a handout with all the multiplication tables from zero to twelve. Another time we went, somebody was handing out all the american sign language alphabets. So we can fingerspell from a to z. And many decades later, here I am. And I still know how to do that. But I think I would like to learn, perhaps teach myself how to actually apply signs, not just Fingerspell, as well as go to some of the free apps like signing savvy. We could start there

An Experience with Sign Language.

So we were traveling around Kenya to different deaf schools, different things going on with the deaf. And apparently Kenya is like one of the top. I don't know all the numbers, but there's a lot of. I think it's the highest population of deaf in Africa. I could be wrong on that, but that's. There was a lot of deaf people. There's more deaf people than I had ever seen. There was another meeting. And then the other thing I wanted to thank you for bringing up was the fact that the deaf population in Kenya. I don't know the statistics of the countries in Africa, but Kenya is one of the larger populations. But it would be interesting to compare what happens regarding the dialects and the nation specific signs that are used because virtually every country has its own sign language and like English, like the spoken word that we are sharing now, we pull from lots of different countries latin languages
