Hope - Opening Pandora’s Box

article image placeholderUploaded by @DerekPierre
It's a feeling of expectation and desire for a certain thing to happen that is hope. And the truth is, hope itself is pretty simple. Why we hope is a little bit more complicated. There's a ton of stories out there about it, but there's one that stands out to me particularly

Derek, I had no idea about the fact that hope was in that box or your interpretation of hope being that box. It's such a beautiful, obvious thing. The biggest treasure of all is the idea of hope. Really just a very grounding thing for me to hear today. I love it. Thank you so much

And I love that the last thing in the box is hope, because the hope is the opening of the box and the release, because the release is what allows for the healing to take place. And so I hope we can all remember that as we go through our lives and as we deal with all of the ills of the world, some created by us, but some created not by us, but we can still take responsibility for those things and we can be the hope

Do we find hope after the descriction and the pain?

Oh, Derek. Hi. Hey. Congratulations. I love the way you handle this. Wow. This is brilliant. What a great way for us to consume this story. And Yazz is a bit of a dick. Yeah, he is. I agree with you. You know, Hope comes. Comes after all of the madness it seems, right. We find hope after we don't begin with hope

DB. That is exactly it. I love that energy. Just like the thought of hope just being the best gift, because it is. It's like for everything that we could think of, the choice to be hopeful. I think it'll always be the most powerful thing there is. Even when it gets cliche, it just always seems to hold true. Even thousands of years ago, we kind of knew that

It feels like everything else, right, where it just hits you all at once. But then at the end of that, when you are sitting down and you are in the pain and you're in the suffering and you kind of say, well, what's next? What else is there? And there comes hope because you've kind of exhausted everything else. And I love that aspect of it. Right

That's the source of energy I'm going to show up to this thing with. That's how I'm going to get the results that I really, really want. I do think those other things work. Absolutely. Because if you've never been to the gym with some pain and misery, let me tell you, that'll get you through a workout that gets you through, but you go to the gym with some hope. Oh, my goodness
