My first week driving for UberEats

article image placeholderUploaded by @AnngieKaye
Some of the restaurants are extremely busy. Some of the restaurants, I don't know if they don't like Uber eats orders, but some of the people at the restaurants I've noticed have given me kind of a hard time sometimes. There are other Uber drivers there, or doordashers, and they're all kind of, like, vying for the people's attention

It's like a battle royale with so many delivery people trying to pick up food and pick up orders and, you know, the restaurant workers trying to prepare the meals and put them on the thing for people to pick them up. It is very hectic. I've seen that just picking up my own food, so I can only imagine how stressful that can be trying to deal with that. But thank you for sharing this experience. It's really good to hear

Hi, Glenn. Thanks for chiming in. And yes, going to do a pickup order, even if you're just picking up because you called it in yourself or did it online, sometimes you're, like, waiting for the order. You're like, okay, I called it in so I wouldn't have to wait. But by the time you get somebody to come to the register to hand you your bag, it takes a while

Hey, Angela. Thank you for giving us a sneak peek at your new sat gig. I'm thankful that you gave the pros and the cons. My husband and I, we do use doordash sometimes. I know you say you work for uber Eats, but we do use door dash from time to time, and we're very sympathetic to the drivers because they're going out of their way picking up our food

So it's a higher menu price. There's delivery fees, and then there's, like, uber fees, and then there's space for a tip. It can get kind of costly, but I personally don't order if I can't throw in a tip. It's just not how I'm built, you know? And there's been times when I've been. I mean, listen, I'm home. I'm lazy. I'm about to order uber eats

And, you know, and we're in a nice area or neighborhood where, you know, things could be left. Food or groceries, whatever can be left, and it's unbothered. So, yeah, thank you so much. And again, just keep up that great work, that spirit, because having an attitude like that, it's great for all types of things, you know, just relationships, our jobs, and just. Even our gladness and gratitude towards God

I got to pay for the meal, which is an inflated price, then pay all the fees, then also to tip the person when they come to deliver my food, something that would probably cost about $20 if you went to the restaurant to get it over. Uber eats polygon. Cost close to $30. I'm like, I'll use that when my back is against the wall. But anyway, stay safe, and good luck and all that stuff. Just try to be careful

So I won't even order from those kind of far restaurants. But sometimes people do. But, yeah, as a driver, you have the option to choose. It pops up the amount of money that this job pays, and it pops up how far it is. And so I just learned from the person that does it, the person that told me about uber eats. Just kind of just look at the mileage
