Can we get rid of cameras in church, Please!!!

article image placeholderTamron Hall Show on Instagram: "We’re talking about that viral moment where @pastorkeion told someone at church to hush. He sets the record straight and explains what really happened!"
I wasn't raised in church, but I kind of was because I was like 20 years old going in church. And I can tell y'all that that 20 year old girl is not the same 46 year old woman to this day. So I did grow up in church, but not as a little girl in my family type of thing. So having been part of the church for a long time, I've seen advances in technology

We want them to see people in their robes of righteousness. And so that is what we do there. Now, as far as Pastor Keon, and this has happened to Pastor William Murphy, this happened to Kim Burrell as well. People taking viral clips of a sermon, the most controversial part of a sermon or the most controversial part of a service and putting it online because now that everybody has a camera phone, they can do all that. I think that that is very dangerous

So as much as I appreciate churches doing that, then I start to think about all this other stuff. And there's always a backstory. And I think it's even with, because I mentioned this before on social media where people think that if you post it, that means I can talk about it, and I get it. But what we're talking about is what we think is happening. A lot of times we're not even talking about what we know

The power to help save the lost, the power to help reach those that are broken, those that need to know about Jesus. We've lost that. So thank you so much

And that's why there's confusion amongst the kingdom. We're doing everything but pointing people to Christ. And I often think about, maybe I'm wrong, but I'm thinking as well. You know, I have some friends that are jewish. I have some friends. My fitness coach is a muslim woman. I ain't never seen. I have never seen the inside of a mosque. Not livestream, nor have I seen the inside of a synagogue. I know these places are open

Hey, sis. Hey, Angela. I listened to both of you guys, and you guys had some really valid points in regards to, do you have cameras in there or don't you? Being from Salem Baptist Church of Chicago, the House of Hope, we have so many members, thousands of members, that we do reach out via the cameras, and we have Internet service

And so, yeah, with that many people, there are going to be people every week who can't make it. There's going to be the travelers, the, the caregivers, the people who are, we call the sick and shut in. Right. And, yeah, we have that. I mean, I think traditionally, I remember back in the day being a church where they used to have cassette tapes

I want to find a church that's not judgmental, you know, it's just another excuse for people that aren't doing what they supposed to be doing, to say, this is why I'm not doing what I'm supposed to be doing because of this. So, yeah, I get your point. I really do. I see it a little bit now

So, yeah, that pastor received a lot of backlash, you know, but at least he explained, you know, why he said that. And then the proof is right there in the pudding. He said, hush. And she hushed. She wasn't, she wasn't filled with nothing but wanting to be extra. She was filled with the spirits of extra, extra, extra

But anyway, they had a link at first where you can go on, like, their website to look at, you know, different sermons. They may have the sermon of the week, and it stem from, from what I saw is stem from churches, wealthy churches who were not the so called black predominantly churches

And people like that, I mean, everybody's like, oh, what? You trying to get her breakthrough now? Because I'm gonna be real. You. You get your breakthrough. Stuff can happen at church, but that you're probably not spending no time with the Lord all week. And I'm just making an observation. You do all that at home on your knees, you gonna get some breakthrough where now you're free to come to church and really worship and fellowship

If you want to be famous, you want to have a popping YouTube channel, a popping Facebook channel, then you're going to have to deal with backlash for some of your sermons. You know, you're putting it out there and now people are going to be critiquing it or moments like this will go viral, you know, so as much as the gospel is being preached, so are other things being seen, some of the methods, so

Jesus was probably looking at her just like this picture I just posted. Like, this picture, like, that's not my. Like when he said, hush in the name of Jesus, that's the face Jesus made right there. Like, uh. We've been working on this for four years. That's all you, player. You got it
