When I did get excited about it, when I got over my anxiety and I started getting, like, excited about it as I met people and started making connections. And one of the things that ended up being very painful and very hard for me to learn over the couple years was the director. And what I had to learn was that was very hard, was the director put on a show during our practices and sometimes outside the practices of being a person that he truly wasn't really on the inside

It always takes time, and it takes, hopefully, when you have someone you can trust, that that's a friend, especially if you can have more than one person, that's very beneficial. But when you're alone, that can make it harder to figure things out because you don't have anyone else to bounce ideas off of. You don't have anyone else to say, hey, you know what? Maybe you should look at it this way

Homo sanity here. Thanks for your response. It's an interesting insight you give, but it's. It's kind of different. He was. He was very narcissistic, and everything he did was to get attention to himself. I think what you're saying may have been in that moment. You know, Oprah says that when a person reveals himself to you, believe them. And I think in that moment, he was letting me see a side of him, but he wouldn't
