Surrender (1), Put This Design in Your Carpet (2) — Rumi
I want to be in such a passionate adoration that my tent gets pitched against the sky. Let the beloved come and sit like a guard dog in front of the tent. When the ocean surges, don't let me just hear it, let it splash inside my chest. I have to tell you, I was really moved as I recited that one to you. There's just something about that particular poem and all of Rumi's work, really, that just really affects me at a mystical level
