The New Status Symbol: Botox?

article image placeholderGen Z's new status symbol
But people like what they see on social media and thought, you know what? I want this to be the real me, not necessarily me with filters. And the numbers are there to back this up. From 2019 to 2022, Botox injections jumped by 73%, according to a 2022 survey, 75% of plastic surgeons reported that more clients under 30 were requesting forehead pokes and lip plumping. And what, you might ask, is their primary goal? Improving selfies

Hey, Phil, this is a good swell here. In answer to your question, no, I would never try Botox, because I'm not injecting nothing into my face, my lips, none like that. I mean, as a person, I'm a diabetic, so I'm not scared of needles. It's not the needles. It's the fact that you're doing it in places you really shouldn't be doing it at

You know what? When I, years ago, when I worked at the hospital, I worked with this lady and she was a nurse and she did Botox. And let me tell you, Botox ages people. I don't know if it's because of putting all that filler in, stretches out the skin and causes more wrinkles and you have to get more and more, but it ages people and it makes you look awful

Now, I also do not like needles. So then there's that and. But I did think about it for a little more than a little bit. The girls, the gen Z's, I notice in my community, are doing botox parties. I see them advertising and they all get together and it's a party and. Yeah, it's weird, huh? And they get a botox and they're not very expensive, I think
