Working age adults over the elderly - the Indonesian vaccination approach.
While the rest of the world prioritizes the elderly and the vulnerable over younger groups. For Vaccinations, Indonesia's approach of vaccinating working adults frontline health workers seems to stand out. So the rationale behind the strategy is this younger working adults are generally more active, more social, and travel more. So this is a strategy could decrease community transmission faster than vaccinating older individuals

Oh, that is so interesting. Ramya, I had not seen anything about this and yeah, it seems really tricky because this approach makes a lot of sense to me. But then I think, you know, the stakes are higher. If someone in the elderly population does end up contracting COVID, however, it is likely that someone in the elderly population could potentially contract COVID from a younger person in their family who, like you said, is more active, maybe out there more socially

So, yeah, I'm really excited to have gotten the vaccine now. I hope it works. We'll see. But anyway, I hope you guys are doing well, and I will catch you all later. Bye
Let me know how you feel, but was it the FISA one or the Astrazenegger one? I'm curious. And how do they kind of implement this in the US? Do you kind of have to enroll for it and get vetted before they approve you for the vaccine, or is there some such process in India? We haven't started out as yet, though two vaccines, Indigenous ones have received the approval. Hopefully in a couple of weeks things will get started here

The other option is the other thing is this will get the economy going a lot faster. The Indonesian retirement, they'll stay where they are. But the economics Indonesia wants to hit that 8% growth and also Widodo needs the economy to brewing along to get through his industrial relations acts as well as be ready for the next election
