Are you hiding behind a mask?

article image placeholderShe Hides Behind a Mask
And Tim, tamaranetta, tell me more about mask Monday. I'm really interested in how you play that and how people respond to it. I'm Bernie, I'm top coordinator, good social networks, and I'm listening. What it means to be hiding behind a mask

Hoping @Tim shares some of his Mask Monday moments https://bit.ly/smaskhide #mask #identity

we wear many masks, some we hid behind, others we use to project ourselces

Even in your day to day life, you're probably different with your kids than you are with. Maybe, say, someone outside of the house and other stranger. You present a different version of yourself to different groups of people, then if you just think of the various roles that we Clay, father, husband, brother and any of the other myriad of roles that we play, you put on a metaphorical mask to clay that role you'll put on your dad mask when you need to be dad

What a great invitation to unmask 👀

My voice is going into your ear, and that's about it. You're not even using the traditional eyes to see my Mark. You're bending towards my voice, and in that bending comes of transparency that is really unique for these times that we're in. So I would beg to say that I would love to shed the masks I've worn for so many years, not nippedly, not in ways that I was afraid to show myself, but just in ways to frame for others

I'd like to think I don't have to many masks

And it's really interesting because I struggle with what I'm putting out as a brand. Mark R Fitness on Instagram with photographs and stories. It's not the same way I used to use another platform. Say Snapchat, which was very, very just me being silly. It gave me permission to be silly and bring out the fun side, but I would still do a lot of fitness thing stuff, unless for some reason, I haven't been able to do that on Instagram

Although sometimes I think it's appropriate to wear a mask

So you know, there's two more things I wanted to say. One is I'm Yeah, I think I've worked myself out so that I am pretty consistent. So if you see me, if you know me, you'll see that I'm the same pretty much. And I'm not hiding anything. I'm not really sad. And then I'm not showing you that or I'm actually feeling a certain way, but I'm projecting something else

THE FACE-LESS MASSES & MASK 😷 🤔Things That Make You Say Hmmm 🤔

Hey, Bernie. Yes. So the thing is is that there's this term, you know, you hear the term the faceless masses. Right. And so I remember being out one day and in New York City and walking around and there were some people that had everybody wears the mask that wears it differently. In some ways. Some people will wear the mask where the little bendy part with the wire in it. They'll wear it all the way up to the bridge of the nose

Because I think you arrive at a point where you realize how silly those Mark were all alone. You realize that there was no real value to them, and the only real value is creating relationships based on who you really are, friendships based on who you really are, not hiding behind the Mark

I do think Instagram is a cultural performative art, and there are plenty of think pieces for years about this before I ever joined in 2015 about how selfie culture was a fictionalized curation, careful selection of images to project and idealize life in selfie culture. And I thought if I wear a mask when I did that, I'd be commenting on that fact. And I also just kind of been calling attention to the fact that yes, this is a performance. This is not real life

You get it! @Tim

I'm not going to interact and participate in the matter to make myself feel better. That's just not how it doesn't work like that for me. Actually, the picture I have in my profile right now is of me shedding a tear. It's a tier. And my mom on my Facebook, she was asking, Was I okay? And she always does this and I have to laugh and tell her like, no, it's a joke

Masks from childhood. Masks in performance

And the second piece of this in acting training, a lot of actors, including myself, have done mask work where you purposely put on different types of masks and then do either improvisational scenes or I even like better scenes from plays or movies in class with the mask on. And it's amazing how it can change how you feel inside and how you act on the outside towards other people by putting a physical mask on that evokes some sort of emotion

Hello, I am hiding behind a mask because I want to protect other people. And sometimes masks can be super cool when there's like an anime character where something like Show, my brother watches where a dude wears a Mark. So that's kind of neat masks when people are smoking or something sometimes that can protect me from the smoke. So that's pretty cool

I think it's really true what people have said about society kind of making us put on a mask in a way or social media doing that. So it's a very human thing, I think, to want to be approved and liked by others. So because of that, we seek validation all the time at times to get other validation. It requires that we put on our Mark, so to speak, we have to present ourselves in a way that might not be completely genuine

Maskig our insecurities

Hi, this is Eva. I think everyone has some sort of a mask to hide behind. I'm currently hiding behind facilities. Sad of fake confidence because I feel constantly like I'm not good enough

Masks are a quintessential aspect of social life.

Now, in that moment, as we recovered 19 guidelines and even a person's social media standing is essentially the same nature and ourselves try and exclude the least amount of effort as possible to maintain safety, security, and growth as the world has operated for centuries. So, yes, it is essential to wear a mask every day or almost impossible not to, such as even this clip you're listening to. Now it is scripted and rehearsed, because that is how I find it most comfortable to communicate

@Markrfitness masks that hide smiles

I hadn't thought about that until students of mine started mentioning it. Several of them. Yeah, and in my case, I discovered I'm touching my face more than before. Part of it's because of the mask I wear. Got to change the fabric

@RayRenati enjoying the unmasking

I actually look forward to it for somebody to discover who I am behind that Mark of lecturer in front of the rooms with a cloth mess that I have barely able to be understood through it. Yeah, I do enjoy it, though. The unmasked

Well, I feel uncomfortable talking to people like that because it's important for them to see my eyes. It's a little bit rude, in fact, unless you're on a holiday on the beach or something. But if you're actually talking to people to wear the sunglasses, you can't really read people. So I feel I always take my glasses off

Definitely a lot in this topic, dont think I took a breath in two minutes.

And I found that very interesting to hear the other side of it. But I asked him why then he didn't because he told me a lot more than what he had been posting. And I asked him if that's something you strongly believe in, then why wasn't he putting his point out there fully? And he replied to me saying that it wasn't the image he wanted to put across on his feed. And I just found that very interesting

Follow up :)

I'd also just like to add that physically having to wear a mask, it can also be used as such a creative medium. I mean, I've seen so many people customize other masks with markers, or some of my friends have stitched things onto their reusable masks

Just 2 points I am personally familiar with.

People might be a lot easier to talk to online because they don't have to physically interact with the person they're in their own comfort zone. They're at home, you know, everything is going smoothly for them, whereas in person they might feel a bit uneasy due to how they might feel about social interaction. So everybody hides behind a mask. Everybody has their own way of doing it, and there's no definite answer on how somebody might be doing it

So that is a terrifying process to go through. I first discovered this when I knew money was missing from one of the rooms that I had stored it and hit it pretty well, and I put up some cameras around the house secretly, and I'll never forget about a week into it, maybe less
