Looking forward to WandaVision...

Now, I did not know this until recently, but WandaVision is basically going to pay homage to a number of iconic TV shows. So Matt Shankman, who is the director and apparently is I guess the lead on every single episode is doing certain episodes throughout the series as if they were made from a particular time period. So there's going to be an Isle of Lucy esque episode. There's going to be one that pays homage to The Brady Bunch, Full House and The Office

Very curious

I'm also really excited about Wanda vision. I don't know a lot about Wanda vision, but every time they came up in The Avengers movies, I always got really excited. I love their dynamic. I think that they're just super cool characters, and I always always root for the less popular characters because they're just so much more interesting to me and to hear that they're doing the show in such a unique way and paying tribute to so many other shows

Hey, Leora. So I think what I'm gonna do since I've talked about this show with you, I think I've already talked about it with Average Joe. I'm just gonna make this thread or, like, Goto Wanda Vision watchthread. So that when the show comes out, we have a place to talk about it. So I'm going to tag Average Joe here and then I guess it's coming out like this week. I think I think it comes out on Friday

What I do like about what I've seen so far, it almost plays out like a skit that you would see on SNL or Pleasantville comes to mind if you're familiar with that movie that these characters are in this world where everything's like, oh, you know, when somebody does something stupid and then the applause happens, the laugh track and all that, but there's a tone. There's an underbelly at work that doesn't feel quite right

And I'm hoping that that's what we're getting, but it's a slow burn and like a seriously large payoff in the end. So we will see I have to watch episode two, and then I'll get back to you

Also, after I watched both episodes, I went over to the Legends series that Disney had, and they have two episodes in that series, and they're very short, like eight, seven minutes long, and each one is about one is about Wanda, and one is about vision

And the brilliance of this episode is that now you want to go back and watch the other three to check out those little hints that you learn about in this episode. So I'm hoping you guys have watched it. And I'm hoping you dug it as much as I did

Alright, Joe, I have to admit something. I did not come back to this thread because I think I still need to watch a little bit more of this show. I'm enjoying myself, but there's something that is just not clicking with me. I don't know if it's because I find everything they're doing to be a little bit predictable. I don't know if it's because it reminds me of so many other things that have sort of already been done before
