What am I Cooking Today

Hi, everybody. I hope you're all doing well. Sorry about the noise in the background. Just the noise of people doing gardening outside, so it's a bit loud. So what am I cooking today? Well, actually, a couple of things I'm cooking for some recipe testing. I'm cooking a bacon corn bread, which is turning out very nice and is smelling rather lovely

Bacon cornbread (for a recipe) and Laal Mas (Indian lamb curry) for lunch

Hey, Simon, it happens to be my son's birthday tomorrow. So he's setting the menu for tonight and for tomorrow. So tonight is one of his favorite meals, matapulao with egg Curry, both of which are from India. The matapulao is a North Indian recipe of my mother in laws, and the Ecuri is a South Indian recipe from where I come from. So that is ask for tonight. And that's what is cooking in our kitchen. For those who would like to know more

Hi there. Those are two of my favorite dishes, and I make both, although I use a little mustard oil in my egg Curry, which is probably just by Bengali heritage, but sounds like a perfect birthday meal. So wish him a happy birthday from me

If Simon, I will definitely let my son know that you share his taste buds. I'll just say that given the Southern part of India, we are from the egg Curry is cooked in coconut oil. So maybe you should give it a shot next time around
