Okay, just for some silly fun. What are. What, what, what? What is your favourite words? Have two that you may find amusing. The first one is troglodyte. And not necessarily because of the definition, but because of all of the different sounds and the different ways that it gets my mouth to move the T, the R, the G, there's, like so much in there. Troglodyte. It's very satisfying somehow. And then the other one elbow

Here are 2 of mine, but not necessarily for the reasons you might think! πŸ€ͺ

My words are so boring. πŸ˜†

A favorite word of mind is almost a handicap because it's noncommittal and it could mean anything. But it is the word interesting because I don't really I don't really know how else to say say it most of the time, but it can mean so many different things. And as I said, it can be very problematic because some people are like, what the h*** you mean? Interesting?
@SeekingPlumb

πŸ˜† Vocabulary is so fun! @Dewuan.Is.Soft

Right. And the only reason I thought of this swell was because I was watching something and the person used the word troglodyte. And I was like, look at that because it's not something you run across very often. I'm speaking of another one. What? What is your favourite words? It's hard for someone to say the word troglodyte without sounding predictable. Vocabulary is so fun

So I mean, it's just like, I'm a troglodyte. This is great. I'm writing a book, so I need to use the word troglodite in my book. I love it. So thank you so much for giving me a new word. I love it troglodyte. Okay, so what are my favorite words? I don't know. I really don't know. I've been thinking about this, and I'd have to manufacture them
@SeekingPlumb

Ooh! Thank you! And @meetbuford on TikTok. @bookishpodcast

My goodness, how could I have forgotten? Persnickety. I knew there was another word or few on my list that weren't coming to mind. That is another one of them. There's just something satisfying about that one, too, when you say it. Haven't used it in so long. Thank you so much for the reminder. It's good to have that one back in my quiver. There's this guy on TikTok. His name is Beauford. And he does

You know, I really love hearing from you seeking palm. I didn't know. Maybe because every time I learned a new voice from you to prove my English, because I always I think that yours well, is interesting. Well, the words that you said, well, I just written down them, and I will look them from dictionary, and I will add them to my dictionary. It's something interesting
@SeekingPlumb

Please? @Eman

Well, thanks, Iman. That. That is always nice to hear. I love the words that you've chosen. Will will you teach us those words in your language? I would love to learn them

Oh, my God. I have so many. I have so many. My favorite one is ethereal, ethereal. And let me see. I really love eternity. Oh, yeah. This one Bloom or blush. I mean, for me, they are so beautiful. Like, for example, Bloom and blush. They sound so fast and so slow at the same time. I don't know why it's crazy. It's crazy how?
@SeekingPlumb

Love to hear how much you enjoy saying them. πŸ˜„ @tooshy

I love how you can hear just how much you enjoy saying those two words. Bloom and blush. You're right. There is something fast and slow about it that I just never realized before. That is really cool. Bye

Oh, thank you so much. Thank you so much. Sitting blow words are fascinating, aren't they? Like, for example, I was thinking lately about the word elegant. If you hear the word elegance or if you read it or see it in front, if you see it, it's strange because it might feel that the word itself feels elegant. Why do you think that is?
@SeekingPlumb

πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ @tooshy

I don't know. I don't know if I get the same feeling about them that you do. But I will say, like, the word elegant to me sounds more fancy for whatever reason I think of lace. And I think think it's because the last part of the word elegance has a similar sound. But the word elegant to me sounds very blunt. Not at all elegant. So I don't know. And I think it's probably different for each one
@tooshy

@tooshyΒ Β·Β 0:33
Yeah. It's probably different because we have different words. We like for different reasons, just like you said. Yeah, but that's fascinating that this is really fascinating. Just syllables or syllables. They have those type of defects on us as people. I That's really, really interesting

#tranquility #serendipity @SeekingPlumb

So I'm not sure if it's the meaning of the word, or is it about the sound that comes in this very just the right perfect place for it to kind of flow on your roll, on your tongue. So I'm not quite sure what's the reason why I love this word, but I do a lot. And another word that I love is serendipity there again. I don't know. What is it with the word?

@NamelessJournal

Namos Journal. You bring up a great point. What is, you know, a good word for you? You know what qualifies is that I think everyone has their own reasons to qualify a word as something they like. Like, for example, your tranquility. You like it because of the quote. Interesting enough, I'm not a big fan of tranquility because I'm just like it's tranquility for me, it's used a lot
@SeekingPlumb

Somehow soothing, @NamelessJournal. πŸ™πŸ»

I love those words. There's something about tranquility and serendipity that makes me think of water tripping over pebbles. This sort of block, block, block sound for some reason, but at the same time, it's so soothing, it's perfect somehow
@SeekingPlumb

So fun! @bookishpodcast

Oh, my goodness. For so long I thought it was Kitty whompus? But Katie Wampus sounds so much more fitting somehow it makes me think of Snuffylopagus. I think his name was some character on some I don't even know why there's that connection for me, but I suppose it's Katie whompa such a great word

Hey, Christina, thank you for this. Swell. I've enjoyed listening to the conversations here. And a couple of words that come to me from the top of my head right now are those that I wish to list out on the basis of what I love saying out aloud and those that I invariably feel with that is those that tug at my heart strings, basically. So the ones that I love to say out aloud are ubiquitous Rapture cherish, perplexed

words have musicality

Wow. Some good words here. Ubiquitous. Detritus. Troglody. Those are excellent. Here's what's on my list. Sauerkian and automatopoeia. I don't think I use those often in conversation, but they are lovely words. And the funny thing about cicerashan is that an elongation of the root word means the same thing. Cesara. They both mean a murmuring. Murmur, another good one

Pontificate, Suadade, Pacific Ocean

That word is a melancholy or longing for something that you understand is never going to return. That's just beautiful. And then my food for thought is the word combination. Pacific Ocean because all three seas are pronounced differently in Pacific Ocean. I can't wait to digest this thread. Thank you
@SeekingPlumb

So many beautiful words for so many reasons! @wordsmith @Tim @TobinT

I'm loving this thread more and more. There are so many amazing words for so many different reasons. And I love that, Tobin, that you've included a word from another language. Like, I wish we had more of those because there are so many where other languages and cultures have created a word that describes an entire thing, feeling, experience down to one word. And we just don't have that in English to expand the English language. That's would be awesome
