A New Addition

article image placeholderGolden Lad
And that's pretty appealing to some buyers, especially ones that train up there in Pennsylvania and Maryland. But he could run anywhere. But the person who bought it, Lauren, is a former exercise rider, and she's a trainer and rider still and really has a good eye for horses. And I really trust her eye. I've gone around the sales with her, and she just really can pick a horse very well. She knows how much they're selling for and knows what a bargain is

He’s ADORABLE 🥰 @Phil

I don't know anything about this element of the horse scheme, but he's adorable. Good luck. Have fun. And yeah, wish you well. So just wanted to say that I'll catch you later. Bye

Thank you. Howie Enchanaz. Yeah, I'm excited. And he is a little cute one. I will absolutely say that he's also a chestnut. And chestnuts. Always used to see to be a little bit feistier. And that seems like the only horses that I own are chestnuts. So I don't know what that says about me, but I'm excited about this. I appreciate all the well wishes. Thank you

Hey, great looking horse, Phil, and good luck with him. Actually, I grew up in Aiken, South Carolina, which is right across the border here from Augusta, a huge horse community with a lot of trainers and races there. Actually, we have our own Triple Crown there in Aiken. I actually have Polo events too, as well. And a lot of the side streets around the tracks have never been paved. There are still dirt roads to accommodate training of the horses and everything

Yes! A lot of great horses have been broken in SC!

And so he actually broke some pretty famous horses or pretty famous race horses. And he's pretty well known in the industry. So there's a lot of people that I run into that know Travis. I see him at the sales almost every year. Great person. Breaking the horse always sounds bad

Quick question

Hey, Phil, I had a question for you. So I know you mentioned pinhooking. It sounds like a very difficult process. Almost like scouting, like a wonder kid footballer when he was 15. So my question is if you go in with the intention of this being a pin hook and the horse develops in like a supremely stellar way, do you then keep the horse? That sounds like a stupid question
