The Texas Freeze: And the Politics Begin
And because they are on their own grid and not on the national grid, they're not subject to regulations that would have them winterize. So it really becomes almost a business decision as to whether they want to actually do that. Without regulations, they're able to say, we're not going to win our eyes, and then that makes them susceptible to extreme conditions. Now, I'm not raising this to put any sort of debate against green energy versus fossil fuel injuries. Fossil fuel energies
And then, of course, they're blaming some people on the right, are blaming the Green New Deal and are saying that there's all of these different things that contribute to the problem that they're dealing with now, when in reality, these folks just did not take the necessary precautions. Wind turbines are used in Antarctica. They're going on to say that they can't handle this sort of weather. They're just lying to the public at this point

When you have the second most populous state being smashed with weather that they've never seen before and the entire state affected, you're definitely going to have a strain on the grid. It doesn't matter what state you're doing. It doesn't matter what policies you're following now. As to Senator Cruz is pointing out of California in the rolling blackouts there, I would suggest that he is kind of correct

Now, is that debate to what Rick Perry said of, hey, Texans are okay going through three to four days like this every 15 years, if that means we're free from federal regulations and we're on our own grid. And with that, I wanted to ask you, it seems to me like your comment at the end is similar to Rick Perrys, and I don't want to put words in your mouth
