Do you ever get mad at your smart device?

Does anybody else get angry when your Alexa or your Siri or your Google home or any other assistive devices that you have? Does anybody else get upset when they don't do what you want them to do? Grace and peace. Everybody have a great Thursday

Let’s have a conversation about technology frustration

But I think when it's my own device and it just can't understand me, I don't get as frustrated, but I think that's because I don't have anything pending. It's just no overarching cause that I need to get done. So I'm not in as a hurry or I'm not already agitated. And I think that's probably the difference. So I get frustrated. I get a little agitated, but nothing that gets me over the top. Like those automated phone banks

Automated phone banks, I hear you my friend

Oh, my gosh, Phil. I hate automated phone banks. You're just trying to get a question answered. You're just trying to talk to human being, period. And oftentimes what you find yourself saying is reference representative. And then you try to specify in talking to the AI or in talking to the automated phone bank, they're looking for a specific answer. Yet your specific answer or the thing you're looking for is not on the menu

Voice texting can indeed be very dangerous LOL

Merely human. I am glad to know that I am not alone, and there are mutual frustrations in our automated lives or the automated aspects of our lives. Specifically, I want to talk about what you brought up when it comes to texting because I use voice texting a lot myself, even though I have an iphone and I use Siri, it's basically the same principle I make it a practice to do two things before I send a text

I still think there are so many pages, and I have to remind myself that I'm doing something that is purely out of convenience, and it's being streamlined so easily for me that I'm kind of getting frustrated at something that, in reality is making my life a little bit easier in most cases. I don't know. It's just one of those, I guess first world problems you would call it

I totally agree

It's interesting how when we become irritated is how quickly wevert back to. Oh, this person like thing or this artificial being is irritating me when in truth, we're just talking to Ones and Zeros. Thanks for the thought, man. I appreciate it
