UKRAINE AND THE WAR IN THE EAST ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฆ

article image placeholderUkraine and the War in the East.
So during the Cold War, the Russian border sat right up in Germany so they could anchor themselves on Germany. The mountains around Czechoslovakia. What is Czechia now was part of the defense, which makes that easy to defend. The south was effectively Greece and Bulgarian theegian mountains. Therefore, it's incredibly easy to defend. There was really no way for the allies to land and get in without having to fight their way through a lot of mountains, which made the Russians very secure

NATO onboarding process

And we know that Russia doesn't want that to happen. Are there any Proactive steps the body of NATO can take, seeing how this is playing out, or is it just a wait and see game because everyone has autonomy and no one could be taken in by some other countries creating the welcome map, because then that would raise the ire of Russia. So what is the onboarding protocol, if you will, of NATO when they see a Ukraine that's hanging in the balance of world peace

Between the Devil and the Deep.

So now, effectively, we've started World War three of Ukraine, and I don't think NATO was looking to do that. So that's where we're at at the moment. No one wants to join, because frankly, the moment they put pen to paper, we go to war. It's a bit of a delicate situation. Now, the only other way that we can do this is if Ukraine was, let's say, give up their claims on Crimea Lohans

Fear vs conviction/ how is NATO ever affective as a force for change ?

So, Michael, what's the efficacy of NATO if on the basic ground floor of it is fear of world wars. When one member joins, that's going to effectively be attacked. If they do, it makes it feel like a sort of a lame duck body because the decisions are being made from a fear based place of starting war, as opposed to a unification place of saying, Join us, we'll protect you
