Francis Poulenc’s Journal de mes mélodies & what it means to guide interpretation
He's telling the truth about what he's writing and why he's writing it in a way that we almost never see from composers in the biographies, in the literature and the autobiographies. This is a really rare insight, and it's truly phenomenal. And so what this then makes me wonder as an interpretation is in what ways is this the vital information for a composer to communicate? Not it must be this tempo

Horrible day. I love that it made me laugh so much. And your thoughts on that and why it's such a wonderful opening, made me smile so much. I had never heard of Pulink before. And I am so curious to discover and hear some of his work. So I would love any recommendations of where to begin potentially. And thank you so much again for sharing this. It was such a delight
