I first took Spanish freshman year of College, and I went into it under the impression that it would come easily to me because it's within my blood to know Spanish, right? Turns out, that was a ridiculous notion, and I could not rely on that fact to help me develop new language skills, and I really struggled to learn it. But I just paid a deposit for a TEFL certification program that will be taking place in Costa Rica next fall, the end of the summer
I've been really pushing to learn French, and I was like, I learned German, which is objectively, more difficult than French, so I should be able to easily learn French, no problem. But boy, was I wrong. So honestly, Liora, I think my little bit of advice, which is also advice to myself, in a sense, is to just be Kinder to yourself about that process and do your best and something that I think I was really good at in Germany
