It's Tu B'Shvat: Jewish Earth Day

article image placeholderplanting
People who are celebrating will traditionally put together a Seder for those who don't know, a Seder is basically a ceremonial dinner where certain foods are eaten because they symbolize different things. There's also a Passover Seder, but for the Tobi Shabbat Seder, we eat specific fruits and grains that are mentioned in the Old Testament as having come from the land of Israel

Today we show gratitude for nature and the earth. Go hug a tree! #nature #holiday #culture #judaism #environment

A great way to connect kids to this.....

But I ordered in the book it's going to arrive today just in time for Tuba spot. And it's a great way to help kids begin to think about taking care of our Earth and what it would be like if we didn't. So I just wanted to add that. And I can't wait to finish watching the Lorax with my grandson. Both of us are very curious to find out what happened to the trees and why they're not there anymore and so on and so forth

I Love to Get in the mud! @Shoshi @liora @gardening @lianneyael

Oh, I love a child's perspective, especially when they realize that when something is not there to them, it's just not there, like when you play Pickaboo. It's like Where'd you go. But the idea of a world without trees and how poignant Dr. Seuss, the best storyteller of the world. Liora, thank you so much for posting this. And the other two posts you did today. They're wonderful. And I live thank God in a place with a Pardes
