What is your happy place?

article image placeholderhappy-place-900x675
The concept of a happy place is so interesting to me because it's so individualized. There are people whose happy places are physical places that they imagine being there are people, people who have memories that they consider happy places. There are people like Benedict Coverbatch in Sherlock who have a mind palace where they go to make big decisions and think things through. And that's all really interesting because everybody's brain works differently. Everyone processes information differently, and therefore everybody's happy place could look very different

I love this question. Happy place for me, definitely resonates in terms of a space that envelops me. And I understand the beach connection so much, because on the beach for me, it's a place of deep, like there's an oldness to it an ancientness to it. I feel sort of enveloped by this knowingness that's bigger than me. And I'm never bored because there's always change in the air and on the ground and out in the sea and the sounds of the birds

My happy place might seem odd to some of you.

The aggression in the pit is consensual. So no one is forced into moshing, and there's just something about it with there's a chance that this is part of the experience. This is adrenaline rush. Is that knowing there's a good chance you just might possibly get hurt, either bruised or Wiese. So people might think that's strange, but that's where I go to be my happy place or just music in general

So whenever I'm stressed or overwhelmed, I kind of dream up a scenario where I have the entire house to myself, and I am sitting on my favorite couch, my nose buried deep within the pages of a good book and a bowl of popcorn by my side and maybe a cup of hot chocolate as well. Even the very thought of it makes me want to just chill, go there and disappear and never, ever come back to reality

Hey dummy, I want to hijack your happy place. It's so similar to mine. And Liora, I love what you said about memories being a happy place because I often find myself going back into my childhood, especially remembering my childhood summers, those vacations that I would spend with my extended family at my grandma's place. And so on. And I tend to recall those memories just to get into that state of mind often
