Old Friends: Who do you keep with you?

article image placeholderpolaroids
Sometimes I feel like I have this tendency to keep everyone I love with you and take them along throughout my life when it's not entirely realistic for me to do that. And the reason that I do that is because I don't like letting people go. I don't like saying goodbye, and I don't like change. But, you know, I'm getting older and I understand that those things are a part of life that I need to accept

Are old friends meant to be held onto or let go? Why or why not? #question #friends #relationships #love

But the last two years with true friends has been so challenging, and a lot of it unfortunately, comes down to politics, and politics have become such a divisionary topic with friends that on some of my oldest dearest friends, I've actually had the conversation of, look, we can't talk about politics. It will ruin our friendship, and I don't want that

@Phil

I don't think I've had to deal with as much conflict between me and my peers and terms of political views because I feel like by the time I found my friends, what I mean is by the time I found my current friends, we were all more or less sure of our political affiliations, and they seem to align with each other, and they haven't really swayed since, if anything, they've only gotten more similar to each other
