How do you connect to your culture?

And very recently, I was talking to him about it, and I told him that I would like to learn more that I like to reconnect with that part of myself because I don't really have any connections to it. And on the other hand, this other part of myself, my mom is from Ukraine. She's a Ukrainian Jew, and being Jewish, and honestly, being a Ukrainian Jew is a really big part of who I am and has shaped a lot of how I was raised

Great topic!

But, you know, culturally, yes, they might both be Jewish, but the traditions are vastly different. And in the Armenian culture, it's very similar. So you have Haya Sansi. Those are Armenians from Armenia or Russia. And then you have Barsky, which is what I am. I'm a Persian Armenian, and so in the Armenian culture, people like myself that are Persian Armenian are kind of seen as less than so even amongst my Armenian friends

But I was kind of young at the time, and I was dealing with some PTSD and traveling to that part of the world without my family. It just seemed like really crazy also for me at the time, and then also traveling to Iran seems insane to me right now. It seemed insane to me for years. Last time my dad was there, I think I was maybe like eleven years old. And he said it was really nice. But he left Iran before the revolution right before
