Does the vaccine mean that the pandemic is over? What are your thoughts?

You know, something that's been really interesting to me is that now that we have vaccines for COVID and more people are becoming vaccinated, people are acting like COVID is over. Like, I see fewer people with masks on when I'm walking around outdoors. What do you guys think about this behavior? How can we get people to understand that they're still have to continue to be vigilant so that we can really transition out of this pandemic? What are your thoughts on this?

I an afraid NOT.

This virus isn't gonna go anywhere. I'm really sorry. I mean, she'll be laughing at that because as a doctor, I know that myself because I got reinfected in January and my first COLVID exposure was in of June 2020 when I was working in the covert IC Ward. So I know that for a fact that we know so little about this virus, we have no information whatsoever

And what's interesting is the unvaccinated will get to sit further apart. So I'm really considering saying that I'm unvaccinated because I do want to be spread apart. It's just really crazy in terms of looking at the Spanish flu pandemic, I agree with you. I want to go back and read about what happened during that time because I do believe history does repeat itself. And it's been so long since that happened that people won't necessarily make that connection that you're making

First of all, please listen to health professionals only, and I know they also contradict each other, but try and do all the things they are asking you to do. I mean, getting vaccinated. And then even after my vaccination, I still wear a mask. So it's not like if you get vaccinated, you get the booster short as well. Even if all of that has been done, you don't wear a mask or you stop wearing a mask

And yeah, I'm going to continue to kind of follow that wisdom and advice and continue to kind of go within and decide from a spiritual plane. What do I need to do to take care of myself and to be really cautious and really just aware. So thanks again. And I hope other people will listen to this well and benefit from your wisdom

So with that in mind, since I am not from public health, my approach has been I'm going to follow the experts. I trust them. And my hope and assumption is that they are following the signs that's my approach on this. I don't want to fit in potentially second guess them because I assume that they have asked themselves thousands of questions that they need to ask and have come up with recommendations based on the science. And I hope and pray that I'm doing the right thing
