I am thinking of one particular reason why COVID sucks because I just had to cancel on my brother for his wedding tomorrow because it is in person with 80 to 125 people not enforced mask, wearing a reception with a buffet indoors. Hey Erin, I will agree with you that COVID sucks. So traditionally, my mom, who lives in India, has always spent Christmas with us, so she flies over mid December member and spends Christmas with us. She stays for a few months and my kids are so used to it, spending Christmas with her, spending spring break with her. And they have been hounding me this year for when she's going to come and all the flights from where she lives have been suspended

We support your marriage. I'm really sad that we won't be able to be there, but we can't wait to celebrate with you when this has passed. And yeah. So I think the framing helped the conversation and steer it better, and the reactions were better. I can't guarantee the reactions are going to be good for everybody, but those are some of the things I've done. I'm still trying to find ways to cope. Tomorrow

The other reason it sucks is because I had two friends, two dear friends killed by Copart. Funny, I was telling one of them just a week before that he could not get COVID because he wasn't as well as he should have been. And I told him Cobh was a death sentence. It turned out to be. So he's got covered and died within seven days. My other friend is out of Portland and well, it just sucks
